History of the Murano
Long before the U.S. demand for crossovers peaked, Nissan was already exploring the potential of the segment with the Murano. When Nissan released the Murano in 2003, its stunning style turned quite a few heads across the automotive market. Drivers loved the luxury-fit interior and car-like crossover handling. When the second generation was released in 2009, the new design more closely resembled Nissan’s other eye-catching SUV, the Rogue. Two years later, the design was further updated with new mirrors.
The third generation rolled off the assembly line in 2014, just in time for the tremendous crossover boom. Thanks to America’s newfound love affair with all-purpose crossover vehicles, the dynamic Murano remains a popular vehicle on roadways today.
